The Online Casino Gambling Bill 2026 received Royal Assent in May 2026. From 1 December 2026, only the 15 NZ-licensed online casinos may legally advertise to Kiwi players. SkyCity is widely expected to apply for one of those 15 slots given its existing NZ regulatory standing.
